Rita M. Rosskopf, 87, died September 11, 2010, in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Rita was born in Dunville, Newfoundland, Canada, and was a resident of Fort Pierce for the past ten years, coming from Gainesville, Florida.
She was a homemaker, worked as a volunteer at Arlington Elementary School in Baltimore, Maryland and was a volunteer with Sun Grove Montessori School.
Survivors include her sons, Allen Rosskopf of Fort Pierce, FL, Jerry Rosskopf of Delta, PA, and Marc Rosskopf of Baltimore, MD; daughter, Natalie Lafferman of Gainesville, FL; brother, Anthony Tobin of Hamilton, Ontario; sister, Maude Macsurak of West Covina, CA; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband Nathaniel Rosskopf.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Cure Search National Childhood Cancer Foundation, Development Office, 4600 East West Highway, Suite 600 Bethesda, MD 20814.
There will be a gathering at the family’s home on October 2nd from 1 to 5:00 PM.
