Rita McIntyre Pittman, 79, died March 12, 2011 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. Pittman was born in Vidalia, Georgia and moved to Ft. Pierce in 2004 coming from Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Rita was a Pink Lady, former member of the First Baptist of Vidalia, Georgia, Dallas Bay Baptist of Hixson, Tennessee, Northwood Baptist of West Palm Beach, Florida and member of Westside Baptist Church, Ft.Pierce, Florida, all of which she was very active in. She loved her family and children. She also thoroughly enjoyed cleaning houses and helping the families she served.
Survivors include her sons, Gerald F. Pittman of St. Louis, MO and Lee Pittman of Chattanooga, TN and Ames H. Pittman of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter, Celeste Pittman of Port St. Lucie, FL; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Gerald Felton Pittman.
Memorial contributions may be made to Westside Baptist Church, 3361 South Jenkins Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981.
Services: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 9-10 AM with a service to follow at 10:00 AM at Westside Baptist Church. Burial will take place at Harden’s Chapel Cemetery in Lyons, Georgia.
