Robert A. Young, 88, died February 29, 2012 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Young was born in Oakland, California and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1960 coming from Volinia, Michigan.
He served in the U.S. Army for 3 years and was a member of Westside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Ruth E. Young of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughters, Diana Wright of Atlanta, GA and Patricia Hills of Portland, OR; sons, Michael Young of Raleigh, NC and Dr. Eric Young of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter, Deborah Young of Portland, OR; sister, Eleanor Pugh of Roseburg, OR; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Young and brother, Lloyd Young.
Memorial contributions may be made to Westside Baptist Church, 3361 South Jenkins Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981.
Services: A gathering will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 3-4 PM with a service to follow at 4:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home.
