Robert A. Arendse

Robert A. Arendse, 77, of Ft. Pierce, died June 12, 2015, at Lawnwood Medical Center, Ft. Pierce.
He was born August 4, 1937, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He was educated and lived in the Netherlands until moving to Ft. Pierce in 1973.
Mr. Arendse was the owner of Rob's World of Hair Care in South Beach, Ft. Pierce. He was so proud of his establishment that he refused to retire and was working up until his death. He loved working as well as all his customers, whom he considered part of his extended family.
If you couldn't find him at the store, he was more than likely partaking of his other love ----GOLF! He was a regular on the links at Indian Hills. His son took up the sport as a youngster, and Robert loved taking him to various jr. golf tournaments and watch him play.
Robert is survived by his wife of 42 years, Regina (Goemans) Arendse of Ft. Pierce; his son, Max Arendse of Lakeland, FL; a brother, Peter Arendse of the Netherlands; and his beloved dogs, Ty and Jake.
There will be no visitation or services per Robert's request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to defray funeral expenses.
A celebration of Rob’s life will be held at Ocean Village's Aruba Center on Saturday, June 20th from 4-7 PM.
