Robert Boyd Rivers, 89, died November 20, 2011 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Rivers was born in Homestead, Florida and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1958.
Robert was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Corps. He was a member of the Community United Methodist Church, Boy Scout Leader for Troop #475, President of the 55+ Club and loved gardening and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Myrlene Rivers of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughters, Pat (Winky) Davis, Pam (Lynn) Nelson, and Debby (Bill) Tedder all of Ft. Pierce, FL; granddaughter, Lara Panico of Ft. Pierce, FL; grandsons, Paul Davis and Robbie Tedder, and Ryon Nelson, all of Ft. Pierce, FL and Patrick Davis of Calhan, CO; 5 great-granddaughters and 6 great-grandsons.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 5000 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981 or to the Community United Methodist Church, 3114 Okeechobee Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34947.
Services: A service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 1:00 PM with a reception to follow at the Haisley Reception Center.
