Robert C. “Bob” Keith, age 84, passed away on January 3, 2007. He was born in Ludlow, VT.He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pauline Steppe Keith of Fort Pierce; son, Robert W. Keith; daughters, Mary Peck of Commerce, TX, Kathy Couture of Belleview, FL, Barbara Hodges of Fort Pierce, Dona Steppe of Fort Pierce; 4 grandchildren; Michelle and Al Peck, Jr., of Commerce, TX, William Hodges, Jr., of Orlando, and Michelle “Dawn” Wentz of Fort Pierce; and 8 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. and Ethel W. Keith; and a sister, Virginia C. Keith.He was a retired First Lieutenant in the US Army, serving from 1940 – 1963. During the years of 1963-1966, he worked for the American Korean Foundation, where he designed and built Korea Vocational High School in Korea. He was in the Army Reserves from 1963 until 1970. He moved to Fort Pierce from Korea in 1966 and owned and operated Bob Keith Auto’s, from 1970-1978. He was a security guard for Wackenhut Corporation at the Florida Power & Light Nuclear Power Plant in Fort Pierce from 1979 until 1981.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospices of the Treasure Coast, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997 or Disabled American Verterans, P.
