Robert Franklin Pendleton, age 80, died on December 9, 2008 in Fort Pierce, FL. He was born in Islesboro, Maine and came to Fort Pierce in 1962, from Sebring, FL
He was a soil scientist, and retired from the United States Department of Agriculture. He was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He was a volunteer for Hospice of the Treasure Coast, and he loved to travel.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Pendleton of Fort Pierce; his sons, Robert F.(Dawn) Pendleton, Jr. of Fort Pierce and Thomas B. (Valerie) Pendleton of Sebastian, FL; his daughters, Stacia (Ron) Pendleton-Moore of Fort Pierce, and Laura (Mike) Pendleton-Durig of Tampa, FL; a sister, Connie Stuntz of Vienna, VA; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Arthur Pendleton, Jr. and Edwin Reid Pendleton.
