Robert J. “Griff” Griffith passed away September 9, 2006 at Lawnwood Memorial Hospital, at the age of 94.Mr. Griffith was a native of Pittsburg, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He has been a resident of Florida since 1936.During his lifetime, he worked as a carpenter, electrician, machinist and professional musician. Mr. Griffith is well known for his collection of Mercedes-Benz cars.Survivors include his daughters, Catherine Raulerson of New Tazewell, TN and Ruth Quick of Ft. Pierce, FL; 5 grandsons, Raymond Caylor and Doyle Caylor of Tazewell, TN, Robert Caylor of Seymour, TN, Richard Raulerson of Okeechobee, FL and Ronnie Quick of Tucson, AZ and 6 great-grandchildren, Jeremy Caylor and Derek Caylor of Tazewell, TN, Jonathan Caylor of Knoxville, TN, Kayla Raulerson of Okeechobee, FL, Anna and Veronica Quick of Tucson, AZ.He was preceded in death by one daughter, Margaret Doerler.This is really a double burial as a portion of his wife’s ashes (Catherine M. Griffith) is placed in the casket and her name recorded on the headstone. She preceded him in death in 1991. May God have mercy on them both.
