Robert James “Bob” Tilton, 53, died November 30, 2010 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Tilton was born in Lakehurst, New Jersey and moved to Ft. Pierce 28 years ago.
Bob received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. He was a certified marine mechanic, working at Vero Marine Center for 13 years and was most recently employed at St. Lucie Outboard in Ft. Pierce. He also coached Ft. Pierce Little League and Port St. Lucie Athletic Association Football, was a member and acolyte at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, and an avid outdoorsman.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Eileen Tilton of Ft. Pierce, FL; sons, Joseph (Meredith) Tilton of Oviedo, FL and Benjamin Tilton of Ft. Pierce, FL; mother, Mary Jane Tilton of Lakehurst, NJ; brothers, Richard Tilton of Lakehurst, NJ, David (Sue) Tilton of Manchester, NJ and Jeff (Kim) Tilton of Cape Coral, FL; sisters, Mary Jo (Bill) Daly of Manchester, NJ and Janie (Jim) Baranyay of Lakehurst, NJ and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Alton Tilton.
