Robert L. Gibson
Robert L. Gibson, 88, died August 14, 2010, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
He was born in Lily, Pennsylvania, and was a resident of Fort Pierce for the past 14 years, coming from Painesville, Ohio.
Bob was a member of Painesville United Methodist Church for 60 years, proudly served in the US Army during WWII, worked for 27 years for Diamond Shamrock, was a life-time member of VFW Post 7754 in Fairport, Ohio, an avid golfer and enjoyed remodeling homes for over 30 years.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Virginia “Ginny” Gibson of Fort Pierce, FL; children, Monna & Charles Clemons of Austin, Texas; Amy & Gary Smith of Baytown, Texas; stepchildren, Tom Bandelow of Anchorage, Alaska, Todd Bandelow of Mentor, OH, Christina & Dave Carpenter of Painesville, OH; daughter-in-law, Caroline Gibson of Willoughby, OH; 6 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Delores Lassak of Ft. Pierce, FL; brother, Clifford Gibson of Illinois. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Olive Gibson, sons, Glen Gibson and infant Rodney Gibson, and 2 sisters.
