Robert "Rob" Edward Lee, age 77 died peacefully at his home on February 28, 2024 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Robert is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jack Trexler, his two sons Brian Robert Lee, Brody Rugenstein and his only grandchild Sophia A. Trexler. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Francis Lee, sisters, Lucy Lee Dalton, and Patricia Adams.
He was born in West Palm Beach, Florida on July 9, 1946 to Charles Lee and Francis Milkens Lee. In 1963 at the young age of 17 he joined the United States Marine Corp where he had a 20-year career as a proud Marine. During his military career he was assigned to the Presidential Aircraft where he served under President Nixon, President Ford, President Carter and President Reagan. Upon retiring from the Marine Corp, Robert became a long-haul truck driver which he thoroughly enjoyed until he retired in 2006.
Robert was a loving and devoted father to all of his children and his only grandchild. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, camping, being a Marine and meeting new people. He didn't know a stranger and would always try to help everyone he met.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm on March 14th, 2024 at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida. Donations can be made to the Tunnel to Towers Charity program or flowers and condolences may be offered to 5811 Raintree Trl, Fort Pierce, Florida 34982.
