Robert Lloyd Harris, Sr., 83, died May 12th at his home.He was born in Omaha, Nebraska and has lived in the Fort Pierce/Port St. Lucie area for the last 36 years. He was of the Methodist faith.During WWII he served in the South Pacific aboard the USS Cepheus. He was a life member and Past Exalted Ruler of Ft. Pierce BPOE Elk’s #1520, was a member of Lodge 248 of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge and a member of the Moose Legionnaires. He owned and operated Robert’s of Florida for over 30 years and was active in the business community. He was a world-wide traveler, often creating custom tours for many of his friends and family.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 111 South Federal Highway, Suite 110, Stuart, Florida 34994.Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Winifred Dolly Harris; son, Robert Lloyd Harris, Jr.; daughter Lynda Kaye Harris Vance; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and his sister Viola Rowland of Nuevo, Calif.
