Robert Forrest Lupu died on May 6th, 2016 at the age of 73.
A lover of storytelling, music, and laughter, Forrest (as he was called by all those that knew him) spent most of his life either behind a camera, capturing weddings and other happy events, or playing his favorite games with friends and family. Formerly a Videographer for the State of Illinois, Forrest graduated Summa Cum Laude from Columbia College Film School, was a member of the St. Lucie Film Society, and helped produce the municipality’s founding docudrama, City of Dreams. An avid tennis player and golfer, he could often be seen on the links at Club Med or the courts across Port St. Lucie. Many knew him from his regular attendance of the Stuart drum circle and happy hours, but only a few knew that he once toured Europe and played in Chicago music halls with his Jazz and Blues band: The Soul Heirs. A veteran of the US Air Force, Forrest is survived by his son, Adam, his sister Roberta, and his mother Regina.
