Robert Myles MacNamara
Robert Myles “Mac” MacNamara, 52, died April 19, 2014 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Mr. MacNamara was born in Miami, Florida and moved to St. Lucie County 40 years ago.
He retired from the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office after 27 years of service. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army was a Staff Sergeant in the Army Reserve for 27 years and served in the Gulf War. He received the Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, Expert Badge for Pistol, Marksman Badge for Rifle, Sharpshooter Badge for Grenade, and the Overseas Service Ribbon. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a true friend to everyone.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Marie MacNamara of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughters, Tara Ryan of Coral Springs, FL and Victoria MacNamara of Port St. Lucie, FL; son, Robert P. Ryan of Fort Pierce, FL; sister, Maureen Barrett of Maine; grandchildren, Jayson Ryan, Gabriella Gonzalez and Isabella Gonzalez. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Myles MacNamara III, father, Robert Myles MacNamara, Sr., and mother, Delores MacNamara McVeigh.
