Robert Edward Mitchell, 85, died June 5, 2012 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Mitchell was born in Braddock, Pennsylvania and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1972 coming from Miami.
He was a former member of the V.F.W., American Legion, N.A.P.F.E., and the Moose Lodge. He was a retired Master Sergeant of the Army and Air Force serving during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was a letter carrier for the Fort Pierce Post Office for 22 years.
Survivors include his son, Robert M. Mitchell of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter, Catherine McCorts of Okeechobee, FL; brother, Hubert B. Maguire of Oil City, PA; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Mitchell, daughter, Mary Patterson, and sisters, Anne Massimino and Grace Wenzel.

Services: Inurnment will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
