Robert “Bob” J. Whittemore, 78, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed at home on June 2, 2021.
Bob was born in Boston, MA on August 17, 1942 to James and Evangeline Whittemore.
Bob and his bride, Gale have been members of the Treasure Coast Community for over 30 Years moving to Florida from Westminster, MA. Bob retired from the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserves after proudly serving his country for 27 years. He worked for the Vero Beach Post Office for 26 years before retiring. He loved working for his community and his country. Bob loved to collect anything Patriotic.
Bob was the light of his beloved Gale’s life and his family meant the world to him. He loved family and was a great friend. He made friends with anyone he met. He was a loving, caring, gentle person who loved working in his yard and taking care of his home.
Survivors include loving wife of 57 years, Gale Whittemore of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughters, Laurie Hayward of Lunenburg, MA and Gale Knowles of Port St. Lucie, FL; grandchildren, Ashley (Daniel) Milinazzo of Pelham, NH, Justin Komberg of Port St. Lucie, FL, Joshua Komberg of Stuart, FL, Devin Hayward of Westminster, MA, and Emily Knowles of Port St. Lucie, FL; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Mackenzie, Natalie, and Jasper; best friends forever, Paul Asiaf, Edward Holts, Robert Wise, and Joe Demers.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 2PM to 3PM with a service to begin at 3PM at the Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34984.
