Robert Conner Wilson Jr.

Robert (“Bob” / “RC”) Conner Wilson, Jr., 95, of Fort Pierce, Florida passed away on December 6, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Bobbylee, sister Elizabeth Carter of Memphis, children Mary Jo, Robert Conner, III (Douglas), Michael Wilson (Pam), Cindy Baliton (Ron), Linda Humphrey and Tim Smith (Suzie). Robert is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces/nephews and faithful companion, his Scottie dog Oliver.

Robert was born August 20, 1922 in Memphis, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and six sisters.

Robert served as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate with a rank of First Class within the Navy. He also holds a title of Honorary Kentucky Colonel and Tennessee Squire.

After moving to Ft. Pierce, Robert owned and managed Electronic Parts Company on Atlantic Avenue before retiring.

Robert was a member of Indian River Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder for several years and was an official greeter for Sunday services.

As an active member of the Masons, Robert served as a Past Master of Ft. Pierce Lodge 87 and Past District Deputy Grand Master for the Ft. Pierce district. He was a 32nd degree Mason of both the Scottish and York Rite lodges. Robert also was a Past Member of Amara Shrine club. The Florida Grand Commandery of Knights Templar honored Robert for serving 55 years with the organizations. Robert was also active in DeMolay.

Visitation will be held at Haisley Funeral Home from 10:00 am to 11:00am on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 with a service to follow at 11:00 am. A reception will follow the service. Haisley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in White City Cemetery.
