Roberta J. DiLapi, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on February 13, 1941, in the Bronx, NY, Roberta dedicated the first half of her life to raising her family in Newburgh, NY, before retiring to Port St. Lucie, Florida, where she cherished the warmth and companionship of her many siblings.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Enzio; her two sons, Alfred and David, of whom she was immensely proud; daughter-in-law Michelle; her beloved grandchildren, Antonio, Brianna, Christian and David and her siblings, Phillip, Patricia, Theresa, Thomas, and Ruthanne, along with their spouses and many nieces and nephews.
Roberta enjoyed travelling, exploring the beauty of America and various destinations abroad, often delighting in annual cruises. Yet, her happiest moments were spent at home, where she found joy in preparing delicious meals for family and friends and engaging in her crafting hobbies, such as crocheting and cross-stitching. Loved ones could always count on receiving a lovingly crafted baby blanket from Roberta to welcome a newborn into the world.
Her laughter and humor were infectious; she had a unique gift for turning ordinary moments into cherished, hysterical memories. Roberta’s positivity and warmth touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Roberta will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
