Rogelio Alberto Farrell

April 26, 1959 — January 31, 2025

Port St. Lucie, FL

Rogelio Alberto Farrell Sr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 31st in Port Saint Lucie, FL, after a courageous battle with stage 4 colon cancer.

Born on April 26, 1959, in Panama, Panama, to Albert and Rosita Farrell (deceased), Rogelio was the eldest of four siblings, including Cecilio Farrell (deceased), Omar Farrell, and Angelica Jennett, whom he cherished deeply.

Rogelio graduated from El Moscote High School in Panama and later moved to Seattle, Washington, in 1981. His life was marked by service, sacrifice, and a deep commitment to his family.

He proudly served his country in the military, joining the service in Fort Lewis, Washington, where he retired after being injured during service. During his time in Tacoma, Washington, he also worked as a fisherman on fish processing vessels, braving the rugged waters and developing a deep respect for the natural world.

He later moved to Anchorage, Alaska, and other states before making his final home in Florida to be with his loving wife, Jackeline. Rogelio and Jackeline shared a life together for 24 years, filled with lifelong memories.

A hardworking man with a generous spirit, Rogelio was dedicated to providing for his family. His passion for the military remained strong, and he later worked at the VA hospital as a floor technician until his retirement.

He was a devoted member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) and accepted Christ as his lord and savior.

Rogelio's love for life was evident in his many passions, including playing dominos, fishing, watching westerns, listening to music, cooking, and grilling. He often said, "The best-tasting food is made out of love." His warmth, humor, and generosity inspired countless people, and his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.

In 2019, Rogelio moved to Port Saint Lucie, Florida, to be closer to his niece and heart-daughter, Cheryl. In 2023, he was diagnosed with cancer, and after a brave fight, he passed away surrounded by his family, including his wife, Jackeline Farrell; his niece and heart-daughter, Cheryl Rivas-Barrow; his sister-in-law, Cyntia Rivas; his brother-in-law, Ramon Rivas; and his mother-in-law, Jean Wilson.

While our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering and is now resting with no more sorrows or pain.

Rest in peace, dear Rogelio. Your love, courage, and generosity will never be forgotten. You will be forever in our hearts.

Romans 14:8 - "For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's.
