Roger Lee Potter, 76, of Fort Pierce, FL, passed away on Jan. 26, 2022, at the VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL.
Roger was born Jan. 21, 1946, in McRoberts, KY, to Ben and Susie Stewart Potter. After graduating from high school, Roger joined and served in the United States Army. Later in life, he retired after driving a truck.
Roger was an avid fan of NASCAR and antique cars.
Survivors include daughter, Betty Lou Potter of Inverness, FL; son, Dewayne (Kathy) Potter of Fort Pierce, FL; son, Lee Potter of Crystal River, FL; and son, Jason Potter of Port St. Lucie, FL. Additional survivors include his siblings, Phyllis (Dorless) Potter Roberts, Nina Potter Martin, and Bruce (Sug) Potter. He will also be missed by his 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and his dog, Nitro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Susie Potter; sister, Betty; and brothers, Danny, Mitchell, and Kenny Potter.
A gathering will be held on Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, from 5-6:00 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at Haisley Funeral Home 3015 Okeechobee Road Fort Pierce, FL. An inurnment will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL, at a later date.
