Ron "Duke" Montoya, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on September 4, 2024, following a brief battle with an aggressive form of cancer at Martin North Hospital. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Brenda Sue (Inglett) Montoya, their son Brian Harold Inglett and his wife Alisa of Southport, North Carolina, and their son Christian Orlando Montoya and his wife Tammy of Fort Pierce, Florida. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Emilie and Kaitlyn Inglett, and Zachary and Ashley Montoya, as well as his brothers, Thomas and Gary, both of Dothan, Alabama, and his sister, Mary Ann Montoya of Dallas, Georgia.
Born in Rochester, New York, on October 15, 1954, to Orlando and Rose Marie (Fiorica) Montoya, Ron earned a Certificate of Design from North Tech and went on to work as a Facilities Manager for the State of Florida’s Department of Management Services.
Ron was deeply involved in his community, volunteering as youth sports coach for his sons and grandchildren when they were young. He was also passionate about classic cars and was an enthusiastic sports fan. His warmth, generosity, and love for life will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
His memory will be carried in the hearts of his family and friends for years to come.
A visitation in Ron’s honor will be held at Haisley Funeral Home Tribute Center in Port St. Lucie on September 10th from 10:00-11:00 AM with a service to follow at 11:00 AM.
