Mr. Scherbner was born in Queens, New York and moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 2004 coming from
Maine .
He was an Ironworker and also a lobsterman in Long Island and Maine.
Survivors include his sons, Michael Scherbner of Bayville, New York and Paul Scherbner of Rockaway Beach, NY; daughter, Mary Baker of Astoria, NY; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Christine Vesce, Cathy Tippins, Christopher Tippins; and beloved black lab, Maggie.
