Rosalie “Rosie” Waters, 92, died July 16, 2018 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Mrs. Waters was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Fort Pierce in 1967 coming from Queens, New York.
She graduated from St. Francis Xavier Academy in Brooklyn, New York, graduated from Packer Collegiate Junior College in Brooklyn, New York and 1st graduating class of Eastern Airlines. Rosie was a preschool teacher, worked at nursing homes with the Head Start Program and then finally worked at Winn Dixie for more than 35 years.
Survivors include her sons, Thomas Waters of St. Cloud, FL, Stephen Waters of Young Harris, GA and Anthony Waters of Fort Pierce, FL; daughters, Susan Black of Manhattan, NY, Marianne Clay of Young Harris, GA, Jeanne Marie Brockway of Vero Beach, FL and Nancy Waters of Fort Pierce, FL; 23 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Waters, son, Joseph Waters.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 3-5 PM with a Wake Service at 5:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Fort Pierce.
