Rosemene Simeon, age 57, passed away peacefully at Complete Care at Orange Park in East Orange, New Jersey on Thursday, October 6th, 2022.
Rosemene was born on December 28, 1964 in Leogane, Haiti to father, Julien Simeon and mother, Carmen Damour.
She completed her primary schooling in Leogane, Haiti; where she lived as a homemaker until immigrating to the United States in 1998.
Rosemene was a lover of music, dancing, joking around, and spending time with her family. Rosemene was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, daughter, and friend. Being a friendly person, she was at her best when she was cooking and entertaining family and friends alike. Before her unfortunate illness, she also enjoyed travelling and seeing new places.
Despite her illness, Rosemene built a legacy that will live on through her children and future generations. She was extremely proud of her children’s aspirations in the health care industry. She will be profoundly missed by her family.
Rosemene was preceded in death by her grandmother Admise “Gran Mimine” Damour, her father, Julien Simeon, and her mother, Carmen Damour, Uncle Jerome Damour Chery, brothers Jean Simeon & Coutiano “Poupouch” Simeon, and father of her children, Lindsley and Starlina, Dupuy Chery.
Rosemene is survived by her children, Rose (Marc-Henry) Etienne, Rose Carmelle Laguerre, Bianca Simeon, and their father, Serge Laguerre; as well as her son, Lindsley Chery, daughter, Starlina Chery. She will be greatly missed by her two grandchildren, Liah Etienne and Alisha Etienne, her aunt, Magela Charles, brothers, Joseph Nasser Ladouceur, Andre Damour, Jean Prosmy Simeon, Jean Frantzer Simeon, Jean Willmann Simeon, Duckenson Simeon; her sisters, Rosemarie Damour, Ginette Simeon, Julia Simeon, and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 10AM to 11AM with a Service to begin at 11AM at the Haisley Funeral Home 3015 Okeechobee RD Fort Pierce, FL 34947. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
