Mrs. Ard was a lifetime resident of Okeechobee, Florida.
She was a charter member of the North Okeechobee Church of God, loved raising children, helping others and crocheting.
Survivors include her children, Mary (Robert) Walters, J.B. (Laura) Ard, John Roy (Vickie) Ard, Rhonda (Wayne) Morton, Julie (Roy) Reno, Tony (Joni) Ard, Lydia Jean (Bubba) Williams; 42 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray Leitner and Curtis Leitner; and sister, Ethel McDuffie. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Brasher Ard and sister, Lois Hart.
Services: Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 1-3 PM with a service to follow at 3:00 PM at the Okeechobee Church of God. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Okeechobee, Florida.
