Mr. Gottwald was born in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Fort Pierce 12 years ago coming from Apple Valley, CA.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and Korea and he was an Elder at Indian River Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his son, Dr. Tim (Karen) Gottwald of Ft. Pierce, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Gottwald and sister, Evelyn Welker.

Services: A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Indian River Presbyterian Church, Fort Pierce with Military Honors. Burial will take place at South Florida VA National Cemetery.
