Roswell Lester “Gene” Storey, 81, died January 26, 2020 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Storey was a lifelong resident of Fort Pierce, Florida.

Gene enjoyed softball, racing cars, and telling jokes (even lies). He loved to cook for everyone, especially ribs. Gene loved spending time with his family and being with the love of his life of 55 years, Bonnie, who preceded him in death.
Gene was inducted into the Treasure Coast Speedway Hall of Fame in 2019 and also played the guitar as a young man.
Survivors include his daughters, Tami (Jerry) Luke of Bonifay, FL, Bonnie Gene (Mike) Burton of Fort Pierce, FL, Debbie Underwood of Tennessee and Connie Branch of Tennessee; siblings, C.W. Story of Okeechobee, Blanche Gentile of Orlando, Joe Storey of Fort Pierce, FL, Frankie Storey of Bonifay, FL, Faye Hawley of Fort Pierce, FL, Dale French of Fort Pierce, FL and Kit Storey of Madison, FL; grandchildren, Tony Revels, Shayne Revels, Kayla Revels, Jerry Luke, and Lane Burton; great-grandchild, Kinley Owens. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie, daughter, Felicia Revels and sister, Shelia Shipley.
