Roy was born in Monroe, North Carolina and was a resident of Port St. Lucie since 1978, coming from Albemarle, NC.
He was a superintendent in the construction industry and he served in the US Army.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mary Montgomery of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter, Tonya Hall of Port St. Lucie, FL; sons, Billy Montgomery and Roy Montgomery, Jr. both of Fort Pierce, FL and Tony Montgomery of Talbott, Tennessee; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made in Roy’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 3375 20th Street, Suite 100, Vero Beach, FL.
Visitation will be Monday, November 7th from 1 to 2:00 PM, with a Service to follow at 2:00 PM at the Haisley Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
