Roy Edward “Ed” Jenkins, 81 died on August 22, 2008 in Fort Pierce, FL. He was born in Perry, FL and was a life-long resident of Fort Pierce.
Ed was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He owned Jenkins Roofing Company in Fort Pierce for 20 years; he was also an Insurance Agent, Real Estate Agent, and developed and operated Black Pearl Restaurant and Tackle Shop. He sang with the Jenkins Brothers Quartet for years.He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean of Fort Pierce; son, Michael (Joni) Jenkins of Fort Pierce; daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Keene of Homosassa, FL; brothers, A.C. Jenkins of High Springs, FL, Doyle Jenkins of Ft. Pierce, FL and Gene Jenkins of Ft. Pierce, FL; sisters, MaeDelle Murphy of Perry, FL, Louella Ward of Perry, FL, and Charlene Swartley of Melbourne, FL; grandchildren, Natalie (Hampton) Taylor of Vero Beach, FL, Whitney Keene of Ft. Pierce, FL, Denver Keene of Homosassa, FL, Aaron Jenkins of Ft. Pierce, FL, and Jenna Jenkins of Ft. Pierce, FL; great-grandchild, Ashby Taylor of Vero Beach, FL.Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2008 from 4-7 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A private crypt side service will be held at White City Cemetery.
