Ruby Smith Hill, 87, died October 20, 2009 in Midland, North Carolina.

Mrs. Hill was born in Haddock, Georgia and was a resident of White City since 1942 only recently moving to her daughter’s home in North Carolina.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Port St Lucie where she served as a Deacon and sang in the church choir for years, she worked for many years as a secretary for White City Elementary School, was an avid bowler at Port St Lucie Lanes, and she loved to work puzzles.

Memorial contributions may be made to any Hospice of your choice.

Survivors include her son Jerry K. (Cindy) Smith of Melbourne, FL; daughter Eileen S. (Stan) Walker of Mint Hill, NC; brother Alan Mercer of Haddock, GA; sister Eunice Batchlor of Gray, GA; grandchildren Natalie Boulay of Ft Pierce, FL, Julie Heafner of Mint Hill, NC, Cyndi Hooks of Stellings, NC, Michael Razey of Lake Wales, FL, Lisa Razey-Evans of LaGrange, GA, and Ryan McClenny of Ft Pierce, FL; 8 great grandchildren.

Services: A visitation will be held Sunday October 25, 2009 5-7 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A service will be held Monday October 26, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Haisley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery with a Reception to follow in the Haisley Family Center.
