Ruby Pauline “Polly” Gessley, 75, died July 13, 2009 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. Gessley was born in Mount Airy, North Carolina and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1987 coming from Palm City, Florida.
Prior to retirement, she was a Registered Nurse and was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Lester Gessley, Sr. of Ft. Pierce, FL; sons, Lester Gessley, Jr. of Melbourne, FL and Mark Gessley of Arlington, VA; sisters, Thelma Connor of Mount Airy, NC, Margie Johnson of Rock Hill, SC, and Gladys Clute McHone of Mount Airy, NC; brother, James Gravley of Hickory, NC and 1 grandson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Westside Baptist Church, Building Fund, 3361 South Jenkins Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981.
Services: Burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 9:00 AM. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service. A guest book may be signed at www.haisleyfuneralhome.com
