Russell Albert Antell, 85, died October 30, 2008, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
He was born in Newburyport, MA and lived in Fort Pierce since 1980, coming from Framingham, MA.
He was a high school teacher for more than 35 years and loved it with a passion.
Russell was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during WWII and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Eva Antell of Fort Pierce, FL; son, Mark Antell of Albany ME and Carl Antell of Braymer, MO; sisters, MaryLou Mason of Amesbury, MA and Judi Daigle of Atkinson, NH; brother Robert Antell of Amesbury, MA; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made in Russell’s memory to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S. E. Indian Street, Stuart, Florida 34997.
There will be a Memorial Mass at St. Anastasia Catholic Church on Monday, November 3rd at 10:00 A.M. Inurnment will be in Amesbury, MA at a later date.
