Special thanks to the VA Home Foster Care program, under Emily Flowers, which is an outstanding and positive program for our Vets. Our family is blessed to be a part of this, and we always said Dad deserved the very best. Louise Miller (Foster Home Caregiver) and daughter Odienne, provided the best care imaginable. Russell loved their cooking and had the kindest heart to everyone. Every meal, he would always ask if they wanted a bite of his food. Always wanting to share everything. He was very active at Berean Evangelical Free Church in MN and sang in the choir.
Preceded in death by wife LaVerne, the love of his life and survived by daughters: Cheryl (Ron) Lemm, Debbie (Jim) Anderson, Dawn (John) Marshall and grandsons: Joshua (Jessie) Lemm, Jeremy (Lynn) Lemm as well as great grandchildren: Hunter, Henry, Jack, Evelyn.
Family will hold a private service at Ft. Snelling at a later date.
