Russell Eugene Rogers

Russell Eugene Rogers of Fort Pierce son of James and Corine Rogers passed away after a long illness on March 28, 2025 at the age of 92.

Mr Rogers was a 34 year veteran of the Fire Department retiring as the 7th Chief of the Saint Lucie County Fire District in 1986.

Rogers was preceded in death by his wife Jonell and son Thomas Rogers.

Rogers is survived by his daughter Terry Rogers Vannoy of Fleetwood NC and Son Charles Wilson of Vero Beach.

Grandchildren Michael Vannoy (deceased), Angela Marsh, Weston Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Julia Wilson Gackenbach.

Eight great grandchildren Christian and Whitney Hendry, Brian Vannoy, Tyler and Jackie Hendry, Elania Wilson, Alexia Wilson, Bianka Wilson, Abbi Wilson, Karis Gackenbach, and 5 great great grandchildren Coeyn Hendry, Diesel Hendry, Addison Hendry, Adalynn Austin, Emberlee Vannoy.

Services will be held at Haisley Hobbs Funeral Home in Fort Pierce on Sunday April 6th with visitation at 1:00 and services at 2:00 pm.
