Ruth Ann Crabtree McCroan, 51, of Fort Pierce, Florida, died peacefully in her sleep, Monday, July 30, 2007, at the Treasure Coast Hospice House.Mrs. McCroan was born on December 27, 1955 in Cincinnati, Ohio where she attended Goshen High School and also I.R.C.C. in Ft. Pierce and Legal Career Institute in Palm Beach. She has lived in Fort Pierce for the past 34 years.She was a wonderful cook and loved to cook for everyone including her co-workers at St. Lucie Power Plant where she worked for the last 13 years. She loved shopping and spending time with her sisters, family, and friends. She was a beloved wife, protective mother, adoring aunt, and loveable, funny, smart irreplaceable sister.Survivors include her husband, Olan and her son, Olan, Jr. of Fort Pierce; her mother, Chestine Smith of Dothan, AL; her father, Willis Crabtree of Bethel, OH; her four sisters, who were her also her best friends, Rhonda Brant of Alexandria, KY, Suzan Quinn of Port St. John, Karen Crabtree and Lisa Tomko both of Fort Pierce, as well as 7 nieces, 6 nephews, 3 great-nieces, 5 great-nephews and many friends and co-workers, and two very special friends, Barbara and Darlene.Memorial contributions may be made to Shands Hospital, 801 SW 2nd Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32601 or to the Treasure Coast Hospices, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, August 3, 2007 from 12-1 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A service will follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
