Ruth was a master at growing anything from hybrid roses, to pineapples, to gardens of vegetables.
Madeline Sizemore lived a life of service to others. Her generous spirit was evident in her never-ending efforts to provide for others and help in any way possible. In any crisis, she was always the first to arrive loaded with food. She never met a problem that food couldn’t fix, at least in her estimation. Aside from feeding anyone and everyone, Madeline loved children. As the oldest of twelve, she grew up caring for little ones and never stopped. At one point in her life, she kept preschool children one morning a week to give young mothers a morning out. At times, she and a couple of helpers had 20 children with games, songs, and snacks keeping them all busy for hours. Madeline was a devoted member of the local congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 60 years. She was well-known for her service on the “cooking” crew for all occasions. If a case of water was needed for a work day, she arrived with ten just to be sure no one did without. Her kind and generous spirit serves as a shining example to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
