Ruth E. Skinner, 97, died December 17, 2013 in Vero Beach, Florida.
Mrs. Skinner was born in Paterson, New Jersey and moved to Vero Beach in 1980.
She was a member of the Community United Church of Christ in Vero Beach. She was a graduate of Montclair State College in New Jersey where she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees. She studied at L’ Universite de Poitiers in France. She taught French at the Junior High & High School levels in New Jersey.
Survivors include her daughter, Helen Marner of Vero Beach, FL; sons, James Skinner of Mount Pleasant Mills, PA and Raymond Skinner of Batesburg, SC; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice, 901 37th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
Services: A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Indian River Estates East Auditorium.
