Ruth Voorhees Morrison

Ruth Voorhees Morrison, 94, died November 24, 2010 in Vero Beach, Florida.
Mrs. Morrison was born in Homer, New York and in 1976 moved to Port St. Lucie and then to Vero Beach in 1994.
She was a graduate of Arnold College in New Haven, Connecticut and taught physical education in the elementary schools in Newburgh, New York. After moving to Gales Ferry, Connecticut she was active as the volunteer head of the local library for many years. She was also a Girl Scout Troop leader and a substitute teacher in the elementary schools.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Morrison of Jensen Beach, FL and Richard Tyler Morrison of Gales Ferry, CT.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
