Samantha Schroeder
Our Rae of Sunshine
November 28 1982 - November 6 2022
Entering life in Stuart and departing in Fort Pierce, Samantha was a Florida native and chose to live in sunshine close to the beach her entire life. Enjoying time with loved ones and serving others is how she spent her days. Teaching, cooking, and gardening gave her purpose. Concerts made her feel alive. Reading a nice book calmed her down. Quality time with her son filled her heart. Traveling and trying new things made her happiest.
Attending LPA, UCF, and Grand Canyon University, she was a master at educating our youth. Teaching at Sungrove Montessori and then Rivers Edge elementary, Samantha felt most confident in a classroom. Samantha was the type of person who made you feel good just being around her. Simple & Comfortable. She will be missed dearly.
These words cannot possibly sum up the life of such a beautiful person, but it is a glimpse into knowing her. Sam was preceded in death by Paternal grandparents Joan and William Dumont and Maternal grandparents Rose Marie Schroeder and Gary Schroeder.
Sam leaves behind a son Sawyer Martin and partner David Martin. Her parents Greg and Gina Schroeder, brother Stuart Schroeder and wife Lindsey Schroeder, sisters Shannon and Savannah Schroeder, nephew Maverick Schroeder, and all of Fort Pierce.
Choosing to donate her body to help others, while her soul exists in heaven, Samantha’s legacy will continue to live on forever.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of St. Lucie County Co per family’s request.
