Samuel Badillo, 70, of Jensen Beach, FL passed away peacefully on September 26, 2023.
Sam also known affectionately as ‘Papi’, ‘Sam(y)’, ‘Polo’, ‘Bori’ ‘Sam The Man’ depending on your relationship with him was born on March 24, 1953 to Pablo and Sara Badillo in Manhattan, NY. He married Elizabeth Vega on August 10, 2009.
After graduating from the Food and Maritime High Vocational High School in New York City, NY; Sam joined the United States Marines at Camp Lejeune, NC. After being honorably discharged from the Corps, Sam worked for the New York Board of Education in a Junior high school. Upon retirement from the Board of Education, Sam relocated to Florida. In Sunrise, FL Sam worked for Con-Serv Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
As a social butterfly, Sam could always be counted on to tell a great story or a silly joke. He loved to travel and try new foods. He loved listening to music and dancing to his favorite songs. He enjoyed watching sports, especially football and car racing. Sam also enjoyed repairing cars and a little gambling to help pass the time.
Sam is survived by his wife, Elizabeth of Jensen Beach, FL; daughter, Emily Badillo of Brewster, NY; son, Samuel Badillo Jr and granddaughter, Lehla A. Badillo both of Port St. Lucie, FL, daughter: Eranthe K. Badillo of Queens, New York, Son: Alexis S. (Melia) Badillo and grandchildren, Malika A. Badillo, Makoa A. Badillo, Casson Badillo all of Davie Florida, Son: Gregory S. (Stephanie) Badillo, grandchildren, Jacil Badillo, Nikolai G. Badillo and Nina Badillo; daughter: Giselle Badillo of Jensen Beach, Florida, brother: Pablo (Doris) Badillo of Winter Haven, Florida; sister, Catherine Badillo Ramirez of Tamarac, Florida and brother, Edward (Ana) Badillo, South Richmond Hill, NY.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation being held Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 10AM to 1PM with a funeral service to start at 1PM at the Haisley Funeral and Cremation Services Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL.
Sam will be laid to rest at Rolling Oaks Cemetery 2200 SW Del Rio Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL following the service.
