Samuel “Sam” Joseph Brocato, age 82, passed away July 14, 2023 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Born on January 3, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland, Sam, known as “Sal” to his friends, had a big personality and the bluest eyes. Sam had a tough exterior and was always up for a challenge with fierce perseverance. He also had a heart of gold, loving and adoring his many dogs, poodles of course! Sam could never refuse a stray, even if they were clearly not a poodle, he would convince everyone that his mut was definitely a pure bread poodle, complete with the official poodle grooming that he always did himself.
As a master painting contractor, Sam could create, build, and fix anything. He loved to stay busy and work with his hands. Over the years he built a Camaro and flats boat with his son, Sam, and most recently rebuilt a golf cart with his daughter, Sharon.
Sam had a passion for riding motorcycles, always a Harley-Davidson. He loved riding with his girlfriend, Noemi Hernandez, and his fellow biker ‘Brothers and Sisters’.
He was predeceased by his father, Samuel Joseph Brocato, his mother, Grace Gowl, and sisters Melva, Betty, and Mary. Sam was survived by his son, Samuel Brocato, Jr., daughter, Sharon Mae Dressler, granddaughters, Eva and Alexis, and great grandchildren, Fisher and Harlow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made at https://bikerdown.app.neoncrm.com/SamuelBrocato to BikerDown.org in Sam’s memory. BikerDown has been serving and supporting bikers/motorcycle riders by providing support to injured riders and their families.
