Sandra Wilson Brown, 49, died May 4, 2012, at her home in Ovapa, West Virginia following a long illness.
She was born in Owenton, Kentucky and was a longtime resident of Fort Pierce, moving here from New York in 1973 and during the last 4 years of her life she lived in Ovapa, West Virginia.
She was of the Catholic Faith. She attended and graduated from John Carroll High School in Fort Pierce and attended Indian River Community College. Upon graduating she worked for Chicago Title. For several years she drove a school bus for Osceola County, Florida. She was a co-owner of Brown’s Towing Service which operated out of Okeechobee County, Florida. She was responsible for all the office work as well as being one of the truck drivers, which she enjoyed a lot. She loved dancing and working with animals.
Survivors include her parents, Raymond R. Wilson and Eileen Wilson of Fort Pierce, Brothers, James Parsons and his wife, Nora Parsons of Fort Pierce and Wayne Parsons and his wife Debbie Parsons of Georgetown, Kentucky, Sister, Cindy Lou Wilhoite of Fort Pierce, Three Nieces, Jennifer Leigh Wilhoite-Chancey of Fort Pierce, Ashley Parsons of Georgetown, Kentucky, Melody Boyce of Anchorage, Alaska, Eight Great-Nieces and Nephews, Seth Hudson Paley, Matthew Connor Paley, Alexzander Xavier Paley, MaKaeLeigh Lynn Chancey, Nathaniel Liam Chancey of Fort Pierce, Florida, Avery Christopher Parsons of Georgetown, Kentukcy, Caelyn Autumn Boyce and Hunter Gavin Boyce of Anchorage, Alaska. Her step-daughter, Vanessa Brown, and three step-grandchildren, Coral, Laken (Poppy) and Bella, all of Fort Pierce, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her niece, Stephanie Lynn Wilhoite.
Sandy was the type of person that was able to brighten your day and make you laugh no matter how you felt or what type of day you were having. She was a very important part of her family’s world and is sadly missed.
Services: Memorial Service and Celebration of her life will be held at Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service, Fort Pierce on July 14, at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Lucie County Humane Society in memory of Sandra Wilson Brown.
