Sara “Sally” Eleanor Lloyd of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away in her home on July 22. 2020, at the age of 68. She was born on June 25, 1952 in Rockledge, Florida, and named after her two grandmothers and a great aunt. Her parents moved back to Fort Pierce in 1953 where Sally attended public schools and graduated from Fort Pierce Central in 1971. She moved to Georgia and lived in and around Atlanta, working with disadvantaged youth and attending school until 1992 when she returned to Fort Pierce have graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Shorter College in Rome, Georgia. Sally worked as youth counselor and a juvenile probation officer in Fort Pierce until her retirement.
Ms. Lloyd was predeceased by her parents, Lyliane “Lolly” Richards Lloyd and Perry Lloyd, Jr and her younger sister, Becky Lloyd. She is survived by her brother, Perry Richard Lloyd, III, and her sister, Margaret “Margi” Lloyd (Peter McLeod) of Fort Pierce. She is also survived by her nephews, Perry Richard “Rhett” Lloyd, IV (Nikita) of Fort Pierce, Ryan Lloyd (Ana) of Palm City, and Cameron Edward Lloyd (Stacey) of Miami Beach; and two great nieces, Layla Lloyd, and Julie Lloyd.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 10:30 am at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce. Donations may be made to the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation; 200 South Park Road, Suite 100; Hollywood, FL 33021
