Mr. Schichtel was born in Buffalo, New York and moved to Port St Lucie in 1981.
He worked as a Security Officer. He enjoyed golfing, scuba diving, jet skiing, and was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills.

Survivors include his daughter Skylar Rae Schichtel of Lakewood Park, FL; father Richard J. Schichtel of Port St Lucie, FL; brothers Richard A. Schichtel of Port St Lucie, FL, Peter J. Schichtel of Clarksville, TN, Roderick J. Schichtel of Philadelphia, PA, and Timothy J. Schichtel of Palm Coast, FL. He was preceded in death by his mother Catherine Schichtel in 2001.
Services: A visitation will be held on August 4, 2009 1-3 PM & 5-7 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be held August 5, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St Lucie. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
