It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, friend, and an exceptional member of his fishing community Scott Adam Feltman who left us on December 15, 2023.

Born on February 17, 1972, in New Britain Connecticut (In a Blizzard). Scott was the second child of Joel and Harriet Feltman.

Captain Scott (Scottay) Feltman grew up in Hollywood, FL., graduated from Hollywood Hills Highschool and went on to pursue his passion for fishing.  At a young age Scottay’s dad started taking him fishing down on the intercoastal, they also had a house in the keys and the many trips to the Bahamas and that is where Scottay’s passion for fishing began. As Scottay got older his passion for fishing is what drew him together with some of his lifelong friends. Fishing Dania Pier and Newport Pier which was always a favorite because his father (Joel) was the owner at the restaurant (Pal Joey’s) at the Marco Polo Resort.  Scottay was known to get in a little trouble with his parents because he would sneak out the house but would always leave a note saying DONT COME LOOK FOR ME YOU KNOW WHERE I AM (He was at the Pier fishing). After High School Scottays love for the water lead him to join the Coast Guard Reserves where he worked as a Port Security Officer in Fort Lauderdale. Scottay Started his fishing career on the docks of Haulover on the Therapy. Then he continued his fishing career on the Heavy Hitter (Bahia Mar), Catch 22 (Islamorada) , Jolly Mon (NC), Real Estate (Fort Pierce), Floridian (Islamorada) and finally his own boat the Hound Dawg (Islamorada).

Scottay spent 35 years working in the private and charter boat fishing industry and was respected for his hard work, dedication, and expertise.

Scott Feltman met the love of his life, Jamie Roberts and they were together for 17 years and married for seven wonderful years.

Scott had a true love for fishing and made a career out of it. He was known for his calm manner, his kind heart, and his willingness to help others. Scottay had a couple other passions, and many may not know but he was an excellent cook and loved his Dogs. As a kid Scottay had his own room but would always sleep with his dog Corky and for anyone who knows Scottay they have met Hollywood his dog which is the famous face on his logo on his boat.

Scott is survived by his wife Jamie Roberts- Feltman. His mother Harriet Feltman his sister Julie Feltman- Sevilla, his Uncle and Aunt Robert and Donna Sperling, and his nephews Ethan and Ellis Sevilla and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

There will be a celebration of life at a later scheduled date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Haisley Funeral home in Fort Pierce Florida or the Islamorada Charter Boat Association.  Scott will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace.
