Scott Allen Hodge

February 28, 1963 — February 10, 2017

Scott Allen Hodge, 53, of Stuart, Florida passed away February 10, 2017 in Stuart, Florida.

Scott Allen Hodge was born on February 28, 1963 in Spokane, Washington. Scott was the oldest child of Michael and Brenda Hodge. As a child, Scott enjoyed life, adventure, and travelling. He was known to be quite the practical joker; like waiting for his little brother to get in the tub and turning off the power, or waiting outside the door past his curfew just to push the envelope. While living in Turkey, he loved to stand on the balcony and throw water balloons down on the Turks just to see if he could get away with it.

Scott loved life and lived it to the fullest capacity. He was most comfortable in the water, which is why he loved being on the Atwater High School Diving and Water Polo teams. He met the love of his life, Karla and graduated from Atwater High School. He and Karla married after he finished basic training with the United States Air Force. It was in the Air Force where he excelled. He became a Sergeant as an air craft mechanic; it was at this time that he got his dream assignment and was stationed at Guam. While in Guam, he learned to scuba dive. He loved the climate and living so close to the water. Sadly, this is also where his life changed forever. It was here that Scott had a motorcycle accident and struggled the rest of his life with his own personal demons. The lights of his life became his nieces and nephews and they came to mean the world to him, his love for them was beyond words and his time with them was precious and joyous.

He leaves behind his parents, Michael and Brenda Hodge of Fort Pierce, Florida; two sisters, Holly Hodge of Fort Pierce, Florida and Terri Paulin of South Dakota; one brother, Ted Rogers of California; two nieces and two nephews; one great-niece and one great-nephew.
