Sharon Lynn Carlton, 73, died August 22, 2017 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. Carlton was born in San Pedro, California, grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota and moved to Fort Pierce in 2000.
Sharon retired as an executive with Sears after 34 years, worked for State of Minnesota for the Minnesota Veterans Homes for 10 plus years she also worked for Sunrise Pest Control for eight years. She was the past national president of the Military Order of the Purple Heart (LAMOPH) and past president of the James Balentine VFW. She was a member of the Golpher Pup Tent (MOCA), Helenic American Legion Post, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 1, and of the Local Moose Lodge Auxillary.
Survivors include her sister, Marianne Dalton of Tampa, FL; step-daughter, Marilyn Milstead; niece, Penny (Robert) Enzler; nephews, James (Terry) Dalton and Michael (Aileen) Dalton and their children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Arthur Carlton and parents, Cornelius and Loretta Salie.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 4-6 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. Interment will take place on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 10:30am in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
