Sharon Tompson

Sharon Tompson, 67, died May 30, 2008 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.Mrs. Tompson was born in Villa Ridge, Illinois and moved to Ft. Pierce 45 years ago coming from Madison, Georgia.She retired from Lawnwood Regional Medical Center as Supervisor of the Accounts Payable Department after 31 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith and her family and her friends were her life.Survivors include her mother, Maxine Steele of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter & son-in-law, Darla & Dan Pennington of Madison, GA; sister, Carla McLaughlin of Ft. Pierce, FL; grandchildren, Daniel and Dustin Pennington both of Madison, GA; nephew, Greg Tompson of Ft. Pierce, FL; niece, Lisa Sands of Rockwood, TN. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Laurie Young and father, Jess Steele.Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospices, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.Services: Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2008 from 1-2 PM with a service to follow at 2:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. Further services will be held in Madison, Georgia under the direction of A.E. Carter Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Madison Cemetery, Madison, Georgia.
