Sherron M. Iocona, aged 76, died peacefully on 2 May 2017 at Hospice House in Ft Pierce Florida, after a brief struggle with cancer. Sherron was born June 2, 1940, on her Mother’s birthday in Louisville, Kentucky, to Charles and Virginia McClain.
Sherron was full of life and loved sharing a smile and her joy with everyone she met. She could melt your heart with a look and a smile. Sherron always was ready to help family and friends and over the last few years was the social butterfly of Sandhill Shores community in Ft Pierce, Florida. Her most enjoyable moments were spending time with family, especially at her daughter’s lake house, and doing crossword puzzles where many would say she was the Queen.
In 1999 Sherron married Robert Iocona of New York. Sherron is survived by her sister, Linda and her husband Mike Pandolfo, of Louisville, Kentucky; daughter Holly (Steve) of Callahan, Florida, and their two daughters (Kelly and Stefanie); sons, Jeffrey (InHyang) of Manassas, Virginia, and their son (Corey), and Gary (Deanna) of Louisville, Kentucky, and their son (Tyler) and daughter (Kasey). Sherron also loved and cherished her four great grandsons. Sherron loved her adopted family of Robert Iocona and is survived by Robert’s three sons; Vince (Cindy) of Palm Coast, Florida, and their two daughters (Katie and Jackie); Phillip (Moira) of Raleigh, North Carolina, and their son (Justin) and daughter (McKinzie); and Stephen. She had two nieces and one nephew and a number of other relatives and close friends that she loved dearly.
Sherron leaves a legacy of love to all who were blessed to know her. She was a member of Saint Peters Lutheran church. Services will be held 5 May at Saint Peters Lutheran church located at 2900 South Jenkins Rd, Ft Pierce Florida.
