Shirley Faye Horner went to be with her Lord in heaven at the age of 90 on October 9th, 2020 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Shirley was born on June 22nd, 1930 in Goodman, Wisconsin to her late parents Elmer and Neomi Parson. She was predeceased by her husband Bobbie Horner, her parents, and brothers Dale and Richard Parson.
She is survived by her sons Curtis Horner and Craig (Phyllis)Horner, and daughters Christine Horner and Connie (Matthew) Jenkins, 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Shirley’s life with Bobbie had its start in Hawaii during the Korean Conflict where Curtis was born. They then returned to Michigan where Craig, Christine and Connie were born. They then moved to Fort Pierce, Florida where they were very active members of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
Besides being a devoted mother and wife, Shirley’s passion was teaching class after class of Sunday School students about her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It was her mission to mold the young hearts and minds of her many students.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7th from 1:00-2:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, Florida A service will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
